Welcoming my Monday morning with one last piece to go for the month of August. Time flies!
For my contracted content fulfilment, I usually write them in the first 3 weeks of the month. The last week of the month is used to generate ideas and schedule the following month’s content plan.
Come next week, it’s time to set up September’s editorial plans. I always allow some space every week to keep a few free slots to enable urgent requests for adhoc projects.
By scheduling my time as such, I’m usually able to help those who need to fulfill their content when they need it.
When this allocated free time is not booked, I’d do the next best thing with my time – catch up on reading other people’s writings. It’s refreshing and a great pleasure to read and absorb other people’s words after churning thousands of my own.
How do you plan your work? Work certainly becomes easier and less stressful when it’s planned in advance. It’s also more fun when you intentionally set aside time for something fun to incorporate into your work schedule.
I’ve not always lived and worked this way. But now I’m making it a practice, and loving it!
Wishing you all a fantastic week ahead!
